West Ham United manager Alan Pardew has scooped the Barclays Manager of the Month Award for February, he collects the honour thanks to the Hammers' 100 per cent record of three wins from three Barclays Premiership matches. After a strong finish to January, Pardew's men continued their fine form with an impressive 3-2 away win at Arsenal. Further home successes followed against Sunderland (2-0) and Birmingham City (3-0), cementing the Hammers in the top half of the table and firmly in the running for a European place. It is the first time Pardew has won the Barclays Manager of the Month award, having led West Ham to promotion from the Championship in his first full season in charge last year. Jim Hytner from the Barclays Awards Panel said: "Pardew should be congratulated on this award, West Ham have proved to be more than a match for most teams this season. "There is a talented crop of young English players at Upton Park now and under Pardew's guidance they will hopefully fulfill their ambitions with both club and country."
