Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has won the Barclays Premiership manager of the month award for March, the 16th time that he had received the award.

United won all five of their Premiership matches in March, cutting Chelsea's lead at the top of the Premiership to seven points.

Ferguson's side picked up an impressive 15 points out of 15, with decisive away wins at West Bromwich Albion (2-1) and Wigan Athletic (2-1), as well as dominant victories at Old Trafford over West Ham United (1-0), Birmingham City (3-0) and Newcastle United (2-0).
