MANAGER OF THE MONTH FOR MARCH 2004
Nationwide Football League Division Two

Mark McGhee has been named as the Nationwide Division Two Manager of the Month after taking the Seagulls up to fifth in the table in March.

Brighton claimed 13 points from their six matches last month to put themselves right in the hunt for a play-off place with the end of the season fast approaching.

Home wins over Brentford, Tranmere and Colchester came either side of a well-earned point at Port Vale and a 2-0 success at Chesterfield, before a disappointing end to the month with a 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.

Nevertheless, Brighton's excellent form has put them firmly in the running to extend their season and fight for an immediate return to Division One, with McGhee having settled in well at the Withdean since taking charge at the end of October.
