Northampton Town boss Colin Calderwood has won the Nationwide League Manager of the Month award in Division Three for steering his side to five wins from their six matches in February. The Cobblers, who were beaten in their televised FA Cup fourth round tie against Manchester United in January, have enjoyed an impressive change of league form, which has seen them climb from 16th to ninth in the last four weeks. Former Scottish international central defender Calderwood, who left Tottenham's coaching staff to take up his first managerial role in early October, has helped instil confidence into his side at The Sixfields, guiding them to victories over Yeovil, Bristol Rovers, Rochdale, Darlington and Leyton Orient last month. With his team now just eight points below seventh-placed team Huddersfield after their recent run, Calderwood admitted: "We'll need another month like February to reach the play-offs, but although we're currently eight points adrift we're striving for a position in the top seven and the players have the character to achieve that."
