Manchester City's Roberto Mancini was named Barclays Manager of the Month for December.
Mancini won the award after guiding Manchester City to four wins from five matches in December, a month which saw his side establish themselves as genuine Barclays Premier League title contenders.
City enjoyed home wins over Bolton Wanderers and Aston Villa as well as away successes at West Ham United and Newcastle United as they continued their charge up the Barclays Premier League table. In a busy month that saw Mancini's side also take part in two Europa League matches against Red Bull Salzburg and Juventus, they only dropped points in the 2-1 home defeat to Everton.
The decision was made by the Barclays Awards Panel, which includes representatives from football's governing bodies, the media and fans.
