Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has been rewarded for a successful March by being named the Barclays Manager of the Month, for the second time in his career.
Under difficult circumstances, Coyle’s side has won three out of the four games in March, against Wolves, Blackburn and QPR who are all fighting for survival in the Barclays Premier League, alongside Bolton.
Although the Trotters lost to Manchester City at the Etihad, Coyle’s team quickly bounced back with consecutive 2-1 wins over QPR and Blackburn at home. They then ended March on a high with a thrilling 3-2 win against Wolves at the Molineux, with substitute Kevin Davies scoring the crucial third goal.
The decision was made by the Barclays Awards Panel, which includes representatives from football’s governing bodies, the media and fans.
