Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock was named the npower Championship Manager of the Month for August.
The Hoops’ flying start to the season has seen them surge to the top of the npower Championship table having remained unbeaten throughout August. Warnock’s side have picked up some impressive results along the way, none more so than a fine 3-0 away victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
Alan Curbishley, Chairman of the npower Manager of the Month panel commented: “Neil Warnock’s side have hit the ground running this term and have set the pace in the npower Championship. Neil’s huge experience will be invaluable as the season goes on with Rangers sure to be there or thereabouts at the business end of things.”
Warnock saw off competition from Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane, Cardiff City manager Dave Jones and Millwall’s Kenny Jackett to pick up August’s award.
The QPR boss was presented the award by Emma Collins, npower Head of Sponsorship, at the Club’s training ground.
