MANAGER OF THE MONTH FOR OCTOBER 2010
npower League One

Brentford boss Andy Scott was named the October npower League 1 Manager of the Month.

Scott's side enjoyed a fantastic improvement in form in October, picking up four victories in five outings. Notable results included a great 2-1 win against promotion hopefuls Peterborough United and convincing victories against Tranmere Rovers and Exeter City.

Alan Curbishley, Chairman of the npower Manager of the Month awards panel commented: "Andy Scott's men are currently on an impressive run of form in npower League 1. For him to lead his team from the relegation zone to mid-table and now just a few points off the Play-Offs is very notable. It certainly shows how competitive this division is this season."

Scott saw off competition from Brighton & Hove Albion boss Gus Poyet, Sheffield Wednesday Manager Alan Irvine and Southampton's Nigel Adkins.

Emma Collins, npower Head of Sponsorship commented: "We would like to congratulate Andy Scott on picking up this month's award and are delighted to be able to reward the hard work that has led to these fantastic results. It's great to be able to recognise these individuals who are making the npower Football League such a success."

The Brentford boss was presented with the npower League 1 Manager of the Month award at the Club's training ground.
