Southend United manager Paul Sturrock is the npower League 2 Manager of the Month for September.
Sturrock led The Shrimpers to the top of the table with 13 points from a possible 18.
Former Charlton Athletic boss Alan Curbishley chairs the npower Manager of the Month judging panel.
He said: “High-flying Southend are impressing at both ends of the pitch, scoring 14 goals and only conceding four in September.
“A great start to the season for Paul Sturrock as his side now top npower League 2.”
npower Head of Sponsorship Emma Collins said: “Wins against promotion favourites Rotherham United and Shrewsbury Town showed just what Paul’s side are capable of.
“A solid defence and stylish attack made them the team to watch in September.

The judging panel comprises former Charlton Athletic manager Alan Curbishley, Sky Sports Football League expert Peter Beagrie, Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson, BBC Sport’s Mark Clemmit, League Managers Association Deputy CEO Olaf Dixon and npower Head of Sponsorship Emma Collins.
