Cardiff City boss Lennie Lawrence has been named as The Coca-Cola Championship's Manager for the Month of January. During the month they had home wins over Burnley and Nottingham Forest, an away win at Derby County plus a draw away at Leeds United.

This excellent run of form has seen the Bluebirds start to climb away from the bottom of the Championship table.

Lawrence, one of the LMA's elite band of managers who have been in charge for over 1000 games, was obviously delighted,

"I'm pleased to have got this, it shows the progress we've made in the last few months."
