Burnley manager Steve Cotterill has been named Coca-Cola Championship Manager of the Month for October.
Burnley continued their rise up the Coca-Cola Championship table in October by remaining unbeaten throughout the month. Their record of four wins and two draws included victory over local neighbours and promotion rivals Preston North End. But it was the form of Cotterill's side away from Turf Moor which really caught the eye, registering impressive victories at both Norwich City and Luton Town to preserve their unbeaten away record.
Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said:
"Steve Cotterill is doing a marvellous job at Burnley. He only has a small squad and has not had much money to spend so for them to be amongst the pacesetters in the Championship is a fantastic achievement. To be heading into November as the only unbeaten side away from home in the Championship just shows how well the Clarets are playing at the moment."
