Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd has been named Coca-Cola Championship Manager of the Month for October.
Boothroyd's side have enjoyed another fantastic month, picking up five wins from five league fixtures in October. This impressive unbeaten run, which now stretches back to August, included home wins over both Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City and away successes at Scunthorpe United and Coventry City. The Hornets ended the month in style with a two goal victory over Crystal Palace to help cement their position at the top of the Coca-Cola Championship.
Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "It has been a tremendous start to the season for Watford. Aidy Boothroyd and his players began preparing for this season's campaign at the back end of last season after resigning themselves to relegation from the Premiership. All the hard work they put in over the close season has really started to pay off and they are now playing some terrific attacking football. If the Hornets can keep up this winning form they are sure to be strong favourites to land the Championship title."
