Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has been named Coca-Cola Championship Manager of the Month for October.

After a steady start to the season Cardiff enjoyed an excellent October, recording three wins and two draws from their five league fixtures. Their impressive unbeaten run began with a draw against Blackpool and was followed by a home win over Charlton Athletic before Jones' men came from behind to share the points at Watford. The Bluebirds rounded off the month in style with back-to-back victories over Nottingham Forest and Blackpool.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "Dave Jones is proving once again just what a top class manager he is. He guided to Cardiff to the FA Cup final last season and despite having little money to spend in the summer has worked wonders to ensure his side have remained competitive at the top end of the Championship so far this season."
