MANAGER OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER 2004
Coca-Cola Championship

Ipswich boss Joe Royle has been named Championship manager of the month for November after steering his side to the top of the division.

The Tractor Boys won four of their five games, including a 5-1 hammering of Sheffield United at Portman Road.

Ipswich kept successive clean sheets in wins over Burnley and Leeds before suffering their only defeat of the month against Sunderland.

However, they then bounced straight back to beat Brighton.

Coca-Cola Awards Panel chief Chris Kamara said " When Wigan were out of sight earlier in the season, Paul Jewell was playing down their achievements. I am convinced that was because he knew Joe's team would come on strong and put a run together. Joe will be hoping that when the transfer window comes about in January he can hang on to players like Darren Bent."
