Derby County manager Billy Davies has been named Coca-Cola Championship Manager of the Month for November.
Derby County were in terrific form in November, winning all six of their league fixtures. Davies' side began the month with victory over Barnsley and went on to record further home wins over Midlands' rivals West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City. Their form away from Pride Park was equally impressive, taking maximum points at both Coventry City and Luton Town. The Rams came from a goal down in their final game of the month against Ipswich Town to preserve their winning run and move to within striking distance of the leaders in the Coca-Cola Championship.
Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "Derby were one of the most in-form teams in the country in November. Their six game winning streak was a fantastic achievement and really moved them up the league table. Billy Davies is an excellent manager and slowly but surely he is starting to turn the Rams in to serious promotion contenders."
