West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Mowbray has been named Coca-Cola Championship Manager of the Month for September. Mowbray's side have enjoyed a fantastic month, with four wins and a draw from their five league fixtures. This impressive unbeaten run, which began with a home win over Barnsley and also included comprehensive four goal victories over both Ipswich Town and Queens Park Rangers, has seen the Baggies end September amongst the early pacesetters in the Coca-Cola Championship. Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "It was a difficult summer for Tony Mowbray after losing several high profile players to Premier League clubs. But he spent the money he received from these transfers wisely and made some astute signings to strengthen his squad. Tony is beginning to shape his own team now and the Baggies results in September underlines the progress he is making."
