Barnsley Manager Andy Ritchie has been awarded October's Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Award in the Coca-Cola League One.

The Tykes remained unbeaten in all their five matches played

At home they defeated Oldham Athletic (4-0), Walsall (2-1) and drew with Blackpool (2-2) whilst winning at local rivals Rotherham United (2-1) and drawing at leaders Southend United

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "Barnsley have enjoyed a tremendous month in League 1. Their unbeaten run has really pushed them up the league and Andy will be hoping his side can build on this month's success and cement their place in the top six."
