Rotherham United manager Alan Knill has been named Coca-Cola League 1 Manager of the Month for October.

Knill has masterminded another terrific month for Rotherham United. His side won all four of their league games in October, including impressive away victories at Port Vale and AFC Bournemouth as well as a resounding home win over Crewe Alexandra. This unbeaten run has seen the Millers overcome their ten point deduction and move out of the relegation places in Coca-Cola League 1.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said:

"Alan Knill deserves special praise for the way in which he has turned things around at Rotherham. Many people thought his side would struggle to get out of the relegation places all season because of their 10 point deduction so to have reached this target by October is a remarkable achievement. If the Millers carry on in this form there is no reason why the play-off places cannot become a realistic aim."
