Hull manager Peter Taylor has been named Coca- Cola League One Manager of the Month for December. Taylor steered his side to five wins on the trot during the month, beating Sheffield Wednesday, Colchester United, Tranmere Rovers, Blackpool and Doncaster Rovers.

That run was enough to see his side replace long-time leaders Luton at the top of the table.

Hull have now won nine games in succession in all competitions since losing to Swindon in November.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said:

“Hull are simply flying in League 1. Peter’s got such a great managerial pedigree that he’s well on his way to getting Hull back to back promotions”
