Oldham Athletic manager Ronnie Moore was today named Coca-Cola League 1 Manager of the Month for December.

Moore's side were unbeaten during December, winning three and drawing two of their five league games. They started the month with a 2-1 win over Walsall and went on to record victories over both Bradford City and Hartlepool United by the same scoreline. The Latics also came back from two goals down to earn a share of the points against Swindon Town to end the month just outside the Play-Offs places.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "It has taken Ronnie a fair bit of time to turn things around at Oldham but the progress the club is making is now there for all to see. He has moulded a team that are now playing football his way and their rise up the league to the verge of the Play-Off places is a fantastic achievement."
