Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has been named Coca-Cola League 1 Manager of the Month for December.

Martinez's men were in fantastic form throughout December, securing maximum points from their four league games. The Swans recorded four consecutive home wins in the month including victories over Northampton Town, Cheltenham Town and Southend United. However, the highlight of the month was the excellent win over high-flying Leeds United that ensured Swansea City ended 2007 on top of Coca-Cola League One.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "Swansea City are enjoying a phenomenal run of form at present. Roberto Martinez's side were unbeaten in December and are playing some of the most attractive football in League One at the moment. Their win against title rivals Leeds was a huge result and they now head into the New Year as the team to catch at the top of League One."
