Nottingham Forest caretaker managers Frank Barlow and Ian McParland have been jointly named Coca-Cola League 1 Managers of the Month for March.

Barlow and McParland have helped spark a revival at Nottingham Forest since taking temporary charge in February 2006. Under their guidance Forest have enjoyed a six game unbeaten run and were the only League 1 side to remain undefeated in March. The highlights saw them earn an excellent away victory at promotion chasers Doncaster Rovers, a result which was followed by a comprehensive 3-0 home win over Milton Keynes Dons. This impressive form has helped lift Forest up to the verge of the League 1 Play-Off places.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "Frank Barlow and Ian McParland have enjoyed a tremendous first few weeks in temporary charge of Nottingham Forest. Their side has put a superb run of results together and to be the only unbeaten team in League 1 in March is testament to how well they have been playing. Forest still have a bit to do to secure a Play-Off place but will be in with a chance if they can keep up this form."
