Luton Town Manager Mike Newell has been awarded April's Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Award in Coca-Cola League 1.

Mike Newell's side has been consistently winning games all season and this continued in April, with five straight wins, over Blackpool, MK Dons and Brentford at home, and AFC Bournemouth and Wrexham away, sealing the Coca-Cola League 1 title. Their final target in a remarkable campaign is to hit the magical 100-point mark with three points in their final game at Doncaster this Saturday.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said:

"Luton's impressive season continued in April as they won five out of five and approached the 100 point target. Having lost just six games all season, they fully deserve their title as champions of Coca-Cola League 1."
