Milton Keynes Dons boss Roberto Di Matteo has been named Coca-Cola League 1 Manager of the Month for April.

Di Matteo’s men hit top form in the final weeks of the season, winning six of their seven league fixtures. Their month began with a fantastic run of four straight victories against Brighton & Hove Albion, Southend United, Bristol Rovers and Scunthorpe United. Their impressive form continued with maximum points at Northampton Town and Hereford United to cement their place in the Coca-Cola League 1 Play Offs.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: “MK Dons had a great end to the season, winning six of their last seven games. Despite their defeat to Walsall, Di Matteo led his team on a fantastic run, and they are sure to be high on confidence going into the Play Off semi final against Scunthorpe this week."
