Charlton Athletic boss Phil Parkinson picked up the first managerial award of the new season after being named Coca-Cola League 1 Manager of the Month for August.
Parkinson’s side have made an impressive start to life in League 1 by winning each of their five league fixtures in August. Their unbeaten run began with a thrilling victory against Wycombe Wanderers on the opening day of the season and continued with wins at Hartlepool United, Leyton Orient and at home to Walsall. A further three points at Tranmere Rovers saw the Addicks end the month in top spot in Coca-Cola League 1.
