MANAGER OF THE MONTH FOR SEPTEMBER 2009
Coca-Cola Football League One

Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope was named Coca-Cola League 1 Manager of the Month for September.

Trollope’s side enjoyed a fantastic month in September with four wins and a draw from their five league fixtures. The Pirates kicked off the month with successive victories against Millwall, Oldham Athletic and Brentford before recording a solid point against Brighton & Hove Albion. They continued their impressive run with a further three points at Southampton to round off a successful unbeaten month which saw them climb four places to challenge for top spot in Coca-Cola League 1.

Also short-listed for the September award were Aidy Boothroyd of Colchester United, Simon Grayson of Leeds United and Oldham Athletic’s Dave Penney.

The decision to present the Coca-Cola League 1 Manager of the Month award was made by the Coca-Cola Awards panel which includes former World Cup referee Jack Taylor, on behalf of The Football League, Olaf Dixon of the League Managers Association and Steve Watts, Marketing Assets Manager, Coca-Cola Great Britain.
