Chesterfield boss John Sheridan was named Coca-Cola League 2 Manager of the Month for October.
Sheridan’s side enjoyed an excellent month in October winning four of their five league fixtures. They began the month with a home victory against Accrington Stanley, before recording an impressive three points at table topping AFC Bournemouth. Spireites continued their fine form by ending the month with back-to-back wins against Burton Albion and Barnet to help the club climb into the Play-Off places in Coca-Cola League 2.
Also short-listed for the October award were Paul Peschisolido of Burton Albion, Micky Adams of Port Vale and Rochdale’s Keith Hill.
Alan Curbishley, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: “Chesterfield won more matches in the month than any other team and John Sheridan fashioned great wins against top of the table Bournemouth, Barnet and a 5 -2 mauling of Burton Albion who have also been doing very well.”
