Brentford manager Andy Scott has been named Coca-Cola League 2 Manager of the Month for April.
Scott’s side recorded four wins from their final seven games to cap a remarkable season. They began April with consecutive draws against Bradford City and Exeter City before recording back-to-back victories over Bournemouth and Accrington Stanley. The undoubted highlight of the month for the Bees came with their comprehensive away victory at Darlington to seal automatic promotion and with it the Coca-Cola League 2 title.
Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: “Brentford's run in the second half of the season has been exhilarating, and they managed to keep that run going right to the finish line. They have maintained a high standard all season and to get promoted and win League 2 is an amazing achievement by Andy Scot and everyone involved at the club.”
