Hartlepool United manager Danny Wilson has been named Coca-Cola League 2 Manager of the Month for September. Wilson's side put their difficult opening firmly behind them in September, notching up an impressive five wins from seven league games. They started the month with victory over Boston United and followed this with further home wins over Mansfield Town and Wrexham. But it was the Pools form away from Victoria Park which really caught the eye, registering back-to-back victories over Peterborough United and Grimsby Town, scoring nine goals in the process. Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "August was something of a nightmare for Danny Wilson's side. They were expected to be among the early pacesetters in League 2 but suffered a poor start. Full credit must go to Danny for Hartlepool's amazing turn around in September, especially their performances towards the end of the month which saw them win three games on the bounce and score an incredible 12 goals."
