Bury manager Alan Knill has been named Coca-Cola League 2 Manager of the Month for September. Knill's side have enjoyed a fantastic month, remaining unbeaten in the league, with two wins and two draws from their four league fixtures. Bury began September by securing a point away at Chester City before achieving back-to-back victories at home to Lincoln City and away at Barnet, where they came from behind to seal all three points. The Shakers ended the month with a draw against Wycombe Wanderers, making them the early pacesetters at the top of Coca-Cola League 2. Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel, said: "Alan Knill has done a fantastic job at Bury since taking over in February. He guided the club to safety last season and has turned the club's fortunes around in the opening two months of the current campaign. They are playing some excellent football and to be competing at the top of League 2 is a credit to Alan considering he hardly spent a penny on new players over the summer."
