David Kemp is currently the assistant manager of Stoke City.

Kemp has been with the Potters since October 2006 where he initally assisted Tony Pulis before being appointed Chief Scout. In July 2010, when Peter Reid was confirmed as the new manager of Plymouth Argyle, Kemp reverted back to his original role.

It is both Kemp and Pulis's second spell with the club as Kemp teamed up with Pulis at Stoke in August 2004, working as the club's First Team coach.

Its has been under the second spell where Stoke have enjoyed considerable success by being promoted to the Barclays Premier League and then retained their position the following two seasons.

Prior to his first spell at Stoke, Kemp also worked with Pulis at Plymouth Argyle as well and was the Chief Scout at Leicester City.

Earlier in his coaching career, Kemp followed former Director of Football Joe Kinnear to the Manor Ground in November 2000 to manage Oxford United, with the ex-co manager of Millwall Alan McLeary completing the management trio as Kemp’s assistant. Kinnear left the club in January 2001 to become the manager at Luton Town and Kemp then left the club two months later.

David has amassed considerable managerial and coaching experience over the years including two spells as first team coach at Wimbledon, the latter period whilst Joe Kinnear was the manager of the Dons.

As a player he spent time with Crystal Palace, Portsmouth, Plymouth Argyle and Carlisle United before hanging up his boots.

His first experience of management came in 1985 when he took charge of Swedish side Hagahoden, from Norrkoping but after one year he returned to England for his first spell with Wimbledon. He enjoyed two years as manager of Plymouth Argyle before taking the reins at Vauxhall Conference side Slough Town. At Slough, he guided the club to 5th place in the Conference, their highest-ever finish. Four years as assistant manager followed with Crystal Palace, Wycombe Wanderers and Millwall, his greatest success coming with The Eagles who were promoted to the Premiership as Division One champions in 1994.
