Richard O'Kelly is currently the First Team Coach at Walsall.
It is his second spell at the club as O'Kelly joined Bristol City from Walsall as assistant manager in January 2013 and remained in the role until May of that year before his return to the Bescott.
He was previously the manager of Hereford United in npower League Two. Following the appointment, O'Kelly entered management for the first time after becoming a vastly experienced coach.
Fifty-five-year-old O'Kelly, a player with Walsall, Port Vale and Grimsby Town, has earned a reputation as a motivating coach with West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Doncaster Rovers and Hereford United, where he was assistant manager for two years working with Graham Turner, and established himself as a firm fans' favourite.
O'Kelly also enjoyed great success with Sean O'Driscoll at both Bournemouth and Doncaster where they notably guided Donny to the Championship in 2008.
He replaced Jamie Pitman in the hotseat at Edgar Street, taking charge for the remainder of the 2011/12 campaign.
Richard reunited with O'Driscoll in January 2013 at Ashton Gate before he later joined Walsall where he is assisting Dean Smith in Sky Bet League One.
