THE LMA GROUP HEALTH SCHEME
The LMA Group Health Scheme was launched in 2008 and is offered to all LMA members, their spouses and dependents at preferential rates. This scheme is run in conjunction with Jardine Lloyd Thompson Benefit Solutions and is underwritten by AXA PPP Healthcare.
BENEFITS OF THE SCHEME
The benefits of the LMA Group Health Scheme are:
- Fast access for the diagnosis and treatment of acute medical conditions
- As a member you can join at any time by completing an AXA PPP Healthcare enrolment form
- If you have another Private Healthcare scheme you may be able to transfer
- No medicals are required to transfer
- Once joined you and you family are covered for life, even if you are not actively working
WHAT IS COVERED?
The following benefits are included:
- Full refund for in-patient treatment
- Full refund for out-patient treatment on consultation referral
- Full refund for MRI and CT Scans on consultation referral
- Full refund for the active diagnosis of cancer including access to high cost cancer drugs for a specific period
- Cover for 20 sessions per year of physiotherapy or complementary medicine on GP referral
- Access to a manned telephone service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
- Advice on medical conditions, travel vaccination and healthy living
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The annual premium is based on your age. The LMA will provide you with a rate table.
