The League Managers Association five-man Performance of the Week panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, were in agreement that this week the newly sponsored and longstanding LG Performance of the Week Award should go to Brentford following their excellent 4 - 0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Sky Bet Championship on 29 November 2014.

The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,000 competitive matches in professional football.

Brentford manager Mark Warburton will receive a new specially commissioned trophy made by world renowned silversmiths and LMA Partner, Thomas Lyte of London, in a presentation to commemorate the award.

Brentford won the award after a dominating display to win their fifth game on the trot which lifted the club to third in the table, just one point behind leaders Derby County.

Speaking after the match, Warburton was delighted with the result:

"I'm not going to say top 10, top 12, we'll see where we finish in May. It's a great place to be, one point off the top. We deserve to be there.

"Whether it is in an under-nines league or the Barclays Premier League, it’s about doing the best you can in that competition. Our competition now is the Sky Bet Championship."
