NO SURPRISES FOR ROBINS' BOSS WILSON

Danny Wilson was delighted with his players after Bristol City eliminated Huddersfield from the FA Cup with an impressive 2-0 win at the McAlpine Stadium on Saturday, however The Robins' Fourth Round opponents are sure to provide another difficult test.

Bristol, the underdogs against Huddersfield, will be odds-on to progress to the Fifth Round having drawn Geoff Chapple's non-league side Kingstonian, conquerors of Southend.

The man with probably the best FA Cup record in non-league football would surely have loved to have drawn one of the Premiership's big names, having guided his side into the Fourth Round draw yet again, but he will feel that Kingstonian have an outside chance of causing another upset at Ashton Gate at the end of the month.

Wilson will obviously be looking to avoid the potential banana skin and was upbeat after Saturday's performance, which he felt gave Bristol exactly the result they deserved.

"People who weren't at the game will probably look at the result as a shock but it wasn't. We played good football from start to finish and deserved our win,” he said.

"The lads are getting a taste for cup success and have now shown they can compete in higher company, I felt we set our stall out from the start against Huddersfield and dictated the type of football we wanted to play.

"Defensively, we countered everything they could throw at us. We also put our passes together and caused them problems. It was another real team effort and if we play like that we can give any side a game."

Bristol are currently 7th in Division Two having turned round a poor start to the season to put themselves in contention for a place in the play-offs. Wilson commented: “It's too early to say whether we will win promotion this season but we will be in with a shout if we can play as well as this every week."
