The Brighton and Hove Albion manager Peter Taylor completed his job in guiding the club into to the First Division and poured praise on his playing staff.
The ex-Leicester boss took over from the former Foxes boss Micky Adams this season with the pair effectively swapping places as Adams moved in at Filbert Street.
While Adams has just taken over as manager of Leicester two days after the Filbert Street club was relegated from the Barclaycard Premiership, the Brighton boss finished off what Adams started by overseeing his side's promotion.
Now the two men will meet next season in the Nationwide League First Division.
Taylor said he was happy to have guided the club to promotion after the heartbreak of his dismissal from his post at Leicester.
Taylor said: "As far as I was concerned I left a Premiership club too early. But I'm delighted Dick Knight [Brighton chairman] chose me and things have worked out so well.
"Of course this is the success that I hoped for from my arrival. It's always difficult when you take over from someone who's done so well, but everyone has worked their socks off for Brighton."
The Albion manager said that he wanted the next step in Brighton's return to the top two divisions would to be given consideration for a new ground from the local council.
Brighton currently play at the Withdean athletics stadium but Taylor wants the club to be back in a ground of it's own after the traumas suffered by the club in the years leadin up to the sale and demolition of the Goldstone Ground.
He said: "I just hope the council realise how big this club is getting again.
"It's sad for me to see our supporters go away from home to watch their team but the same fans can't get a ticket when we play at Withdean.
"We know we've got fantastic support but we want a ground to make sure we can accommodate all our fans."
