Speaking to Leaguemanagers.com after the game, Bristol City manager Danny Wilson admitted that his team paid for their poor start against Leicester City at Filbert Street as The Robins were knocked out of the FA Cup by Peter Taylor's Foxes.
It was always going to be a difficult task for Wilson's second division side, who needed a replay to overcome Geoff Chapple's plucky non-league Kingstonian side in the Fourth Round. Dean Sturridge put Leicester ahead in the 10th minute and it was pressure from Sturridge again that caused Bristol defender Matthew Hill to head past his own keeper five minutes later, leaving Bristol with a mountain to climb.
Danny Wilson said he thought his players may have been slightly overawed.
"I think it was young lad's not knowing what they were coming up against - a bit of trepidation and nervousness," he said.
"We got that out of the way but unfortunately we'd lost a goal in that period. After that we settled down and got the pace of the game.
"I thought that we were going to do all right as the game went on - we got stronger. We went another goal down with an unfortunate own goal but you can't really point the finger when that happens.
Going into half-time two goals down, the Bristol boss was delighted with the way his team responded, although a Muzzy Izzet penalty sealed the tie in the 83rd minute for the home side. Nevertheless, Wilson believes his players can take a lot of heart form their second-half performance.
"I thought in the second half the lads were brilliant," Wilson said.
"They didn't half knock it around well - threw away their inhibitions and just thought we'll have a go, we're going to play.
"And we put Leicester on the back foot for a long, long time. They were absolutely superb in the second half.
"If we can create chances against a team of Premiership quality like that, then you'd think we'd be able to do it in our League and with a bit of patience with passing and moving no matter what level you're at, you'll always cause teams a bit of distress and we did that."
The Robins are currently in 7th place in Division Two and are pushing for a place in the play-offs behind Reading, Rotherham, Stoke and Walsall.
