Leicester City manager Peter Taylor was disappointed after his side were knocked out of the FA Cup by Second Division Wycombe Wanderers but he made no excuses and took nothing away from Lawrie Sanchez and his spirited Wanderers.
Having beaten Liverpool in the League a week earlier, Taylor was confident that The Foxes would progress to the semi-finals but a last minute header from Roy Essandoh ended their Cup dreams.
The Leicester boss acknowledged that his side had not performed to the best of their abilities but also recognized the heroic efforts of the Second Division visitors.
"I will take nothing away from Wycombe and full credit to them," he said.
"When we got back to 1-1, I thought we could get a draw which, I would have settled for after the way we played.
"But it seemed after we missed the chance to go 2-1 up that Wycombe looked the better side and full credit to them.
"Our performances on the last two Saturdays against Sunderland and Liverpool have been excellent but there were too many negative bits against Wycombe.
"We were not as positive as we should have been."
