THORDASON JOINS COUNTY

Notts County have appointed Gudjon Thordarson as their new manager. He replaces caretaker boss Ian Richardson.

The 49-year-old, who has also managed Stoke City, Barnsley and his native Iceland, has signed a three-year contract at Meadow Lane.

Thordarson becomes the sixth man to take charge of the club in the last five years.
