THOMPSON STANDS DOWN

Yeovil Town are looking for a new manager after announcing that Steve Thompson will revert to his role as first team coach.

Thompson took over from previous manager Gary Johnson in September following his departure to Bristol City, and has kept Yeovil in League One.

Chairman John Fry told BBC Radio Bristol: "Steve is back in the line he's good at. Management business needs special skills and experience.

"Steve was dropped into the deep in and give him his due he didn't sink he swam," added Fry.

"In the next few days we'll be getting interviews arranged and there will be people enquiring about the job."

"We're looking for management talent more than coaching talent because we've got a talented coach.”
