14 Jun 2006 WILSON JOINS HARTLEPOOL
Former MK Dons manager Danny Wilson has been appointed the new manager of Hartlepool United.
Wilson, who has also managed Barnsley, Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday, was sacked by Milton Keynes after their relegation to League Two last season.
He takes over from youth team coach Paul Stephenson, who filled in after Martin Scott left in February.
"Danny brings a wealth of experience. He has managed in the Premiership, Championship and League One," Pools director of sport Chris Turner said.
"Throughout the game, Danny is a highly thought of individual who has a great amount of contacts in the world of football."
