FERGUSON HEADS FOR HOME

With just one week remaining in the 3rd Quarter of the Performance table, it is a familiar name that has hit the front and taken a commanding lead. Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson now has a 10-point advantage at the top after United won Away at Fulham in the Premiership and Reading in the FA Cup, whilst last week’s second place, Steve Coppell suffered two consecutive defeats and drops down to ninth spot.

Second place is now occupied by Shrewsbury Town’s Gary Peters, up from 9th, after the Shrews 3-1 win at Wrexham.

Stockport County’s Jim Gannon moves up two places to third after a 1-0 win over leaders Walsall.

Biggest climber is Nigel Adkins, up to seventh from from twelfth, after Scunthorpe’s 3-1 win at Crewe Alexandra.

Highest new entry is Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade who comes straight into seventeenth place.
