INTRODUCING THE PPF CONFERENCE

Introducing the PPF Conference

The Professional Players Federation represents the athletes at the heart of UK sport and this year they’ll hold their first ever national conference which is taking place on Monday 4th October in London.

Heart and Soul – Sport in the UK Today is designed to showcase the key issues affecting the tens of thousands of professional sports people that make up the industry and to bring together all those interested parties to discuss, debate and understand more about these issues.

The highly relevant and extremely current topics from the world of sport that make up the content for the event are;

Betting in Sport: Facing up to its impact on professionals and how to positively support this issue across all sports.

Performance v Recreational Drugs: Should those that use recreational drugs be treated in the same way as those that have used performance enhancing drugs?

Who Should Run Sport: Few would argue that anyone knows their sport better than the players, so why do so few players ever go on to lead the development and administration of their sport?

The Chief Executives Panel: The panel brings together the Chief Executives of a number of the PPF's Associate Members for the first time to debate the key issues affecting professional athletes across a range of sports.

The conference is a great opportunity to understand the views and issues affecting the people that drive the success of sport – the players.
