TURNER AND HARTLEPOOL PART

Chris Turner and Hartlepool United have parted company.

A statement on the club website read;

"Chris Turner has today resigned from his position as Director of Sport with immediate effect.

"Turner returned to Victoria Park in the newly-created role in 2006 but had taken on First Team duties following the departure of Danny Wilson in December 2008.

"After bringing in twelve players at the start of last season, and with the three points deduction by the Football League, the team only just managed to stay in League One.

"The start of this season has seen an excellent win over Sheffield United and two draws in the league.

"Mick Wadsworth has now been placed in temporary charge for this weekend's game with Yeovil Town at Huish Park."
