Leicester City manager Peter Taylor has finally run out of patience with the attempts to lure Leicester's coveted defender Matt Elliott away from Filbert Street.
Glasgow Celtic are looking to win over the Scotland international in the hope that he would talk to them although the Scottish champions have not made an official bid for Elliott's signature.
It has left the Foxes boss furious at the unidentified individuals who are spreading talk of Elliott being keen to leave the Filbert Street outfit.
The transfer rumour has upset Taylor, especially as it has come just weeks before he tries to guide Leicester to an improved performance in the Premiership than last season, which was troubled by a ten-game losing streak at the end.
Taylor said, "It is a lawless jungle out there and I want these people stopped in their tracks. This constant mischief is too much. Leicester will be entering an official complaint to the Premier League asking what action can be taken against the culprits.
"If the dirty work continues, than I can promise that I will start naming names."
Taylor excluded his managerial colleague Martin O'Neill – the former Leicester manager – from any blame in the episode.
"I have sufficient regard and respect for Martin to think that he would contact me directly if he wanted to buy one of my players.
"It is correct, however, that there have been constant suggestions that the likes of Matt and Muzzy [Izzet] might be going to Celtic. That is something I have to live with but what I don't intend to swallow any longer is the ridiculous activity by so-called agents when they are clearly nothing of the sort.
"There are five different individuals currently claiming to represent Matt.
"In fact, his agent was and still is Jonathan Barnett, who is as appalled as I am with what appears to be happening. As far as I am concerned life in the Premiership if each player were represented by one official agent with a proper contract to confirm their business relationship.
"I suppose it is only natural that Martin would be linked with top performers who he bought for Leicester in the first place.
"The trouble is that all these never--ending whispers can end up having an unsettling effect. Fortunately, Matt remains perfectly happy here."
