Leicester City manager Peter Taylor expressed his enormous sense of relief as his men managed to avoid defeat at the third time of asking in the Premiership.
In a chaotic and very aggressive 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town, Leicester survived a Muzzy Izzet missed penalty and the dismissal of Lee Marshall to take a point from a game that had been earmarked as a win-or-bust game for the embattled Foxes boss.
Taylor thanked his side for playing like a side that did not want to let their manager down in such an important game.
The Foxes boss still wants to see an improvement from a team that he feels is better than it's poor start suggests.
"I think I wanted 100 percent commitment and everything," the City boss said after the match.
"I think certain players could have done better in certain areas but they gave all they have got and that is all you can ask.
"We shouldn't have gone in 1-0 down - Matty Elliott and Muzzy Izzet had good chances, and I felt we were unlucky.
"I said 'keep your heads up' and fancied us to win, even when we scored so late.
"They were very determined to get a result, which was opposite to the Bolton game, we believed we were going to get something out of it and they deserved this."
Taylor's men are now third from bottom of the Premiership after Southampton failed to win a point at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon, failing to break their own duck this season with a 2-0 loss against former manager Glenn Hoddle's side.
