STEVE COTTERILL

LMA Chief Executive John Barnwell has clarified remarks erroneously attributed to him following the departure for Steve Cotterill from Burnley FC.

It had been reported that Mr. Barnwell had stated that Steve Cotterill would struggle to get another position in football.

What in fact was said was, that over 60% of managers who part company with their clubs in the Football League, fail to find new jobs within football.

Steve Cotterill is still a young man, but has over 13 years managerial experience and as such will not be amongst this category.
