Utilita Performance of the Week: Queens Park Rangers

(Nominations include Premier League, EFL Championship, EFL League One, EFL League Two, WSL, and Women’s Championship fixtures)

The League Managers Association’s panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Chris Hughton, Rachel Yankey, Les Ferdinand, Clare Tomlinson, Dave Bassett, and Barry Fry has determined that the Utilita Performance of the Week Award should go to Queens Park Rangers for their performance against Leicester City on Saturday the 2nd of March.

Queens Park Rangers manager, Martí Cifuentes, will receive the Utilita Performance of the Week trophy.

On a remarkable afternoon at King Power Stadium, Rangers - who displayed incredible defensive resilience throughout - took a 38th-minute lead through Ilias Chair.

Substitute Sinclair Armstrong doubled that advantage when he smashed home on 57 minutes - only a minute after his introduction.

Ben Nelson pulled a goal back for Leicester on the hour mark to set up an expected nervous finale.

But Rangers - backed superbly by 3,000 travelling fans - held on to claim another hugely important win in the fight for survival.
