Match Report
Goals from Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott saw AFC Bournemouth claim another famous 2-1 win against Premier League leaders Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
A repeat scoreline of last season’s victory in North London extended to 12 games the Cherries’ unbeaten run – their longest since the club first won promotion to the top flight in 2015.
Another memorable milestone for the visitors saw Kroupi become only the second teenager in history to score ten goals in his first season in the Premier League.
He matched a feat achieved by Coventry City’s Robbie Keane in 2000 when he fired home at the far post after Adrien Truffert’s deflected cross had fallen for him.
Although Viktor Gyökeres levelled from a hotly-disputed penalty awarded for handball against Ryan Christie ten minutes before half-time, Scott silenced the Emirates with a sublime finish in the 74th minute.
