LMA DIPLOMA IN FOOTBALL MANAGEMENT.

The LMA Diploma in Football Management was launched at Warwick Business School in 2002. Now delivered in partnership with the University of Liverpool and the PFA, with 277 graduates to date, the course is still true to its original aim of providing vocationally relevant education, equipping managers and coaches with a university-accredited qualification and the skills to address the challenges and realities of football management.

Programme Aims

The programme aims to develop individuals' understanding of the role of the manager in elite football and help attendees understand who they are as a leader. The course allows individuals to understand the complexities of modern management, recognising and developing the skills and abilities to effectively lead in this environment.

The Diploma is highly sought after by managers and coaches and is recognised by football club executives as an integral part of their talent identification and recruitment processes.

This one-year course consists of residential weeks at the start and end, with one-day Masterclasses during the year and opportunities for additional online group learning and 1-to-1 support throughout. Assessment is via written assignments, group work and presentations.
